International appointments and promotions // Aug 3, 2016

It is my privilege to share with you information regarding international appointments and promotions decided by the General.


EFFECTIVE 1 JANUARY 2017

COMMISSIONER DENISE SWANSBURY, an officer of the United Kingdom Territory with the Republic of Ireland, currently serving as Mission Resources Secretary and Zonal Secretary for Women’s Ministries in the South Pacific and East Asia Zone, is appointed as Zonal Secretary for Women’s Ministries in the Europe Zone. She will continue to serve as Mission Resources Secretary. The commissioner succeeds Commissioner Dorita Wainwright who will be retiring from active service.

COMMISSIONERS ROBERT AND JANINE DONALDSON, officers of the New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga Territory currently serving as territorial leaders in that territory, are appointed respectively as International Secretary for Accountability and Governance and Zonal Secretary for Women’s Ministries in the South Pacific and East Asia Zone, at International Headquarters.

COLONELS ANDREW AND YVONNE WESTRUPP, officers of the New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga Territory currently serving as territorial leaders in the Papua New Guinea Territory, are appointed as territorial leaders in the New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga Territory. Colonel Andrew Westrupp is appointed as Territorial Commander, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga Territory, and Colonel Yvonne Westrupp as Territorial President of Women’s Ministries. They will take up their new appointment responsibilities with the rank of commissioner, Colonel Andrew Westrupp on 3 January and Colonel Yvonne Westrupp on 4 January.

LIEUT-COLONELS KELVIN AND JULIE ALLEY, officers of the Australia Eastern Territory currently serving as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries in the Papua New Guinea Territory, are appointed as territorial leaders in that territory. Lieut-Colonel Kelvin Alley is appointed as Territorial Commander, Papua New Guinea Territory, and Lieut-Colonel Julie Alley as Territorial President of Women’s Ministries. They will take up their new appointment responsibilities with the rank of colonel.

LIEUT-COLONEL DINA ISMAEL, an officer of the Indonesia Territory currently serving as the Secretary for Business Administration in that territory is appointed as Chief Secretary, Papua New Guinea Territory.

COMMISSIONERS KENNETH AND JOLENE HODDER, officers of the USA Western Territory currently serving as territorial leaders in the Kenya West Territory, are appointed as territorial leaders in the USA Western Territory. Commissioner Kenneth Hodder is appointed as Territorial Commander, USA Western Territory, and Commissioner Jolene Hodder as Territorial President of Women’s Ministries.

COLONELS STEPHEN AND GRACE CHEPKURUI, officers of the Kenya West Territory currently serving as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries in that territory, are appointed as territorial leaders in the Kenya West Territory. Colonel Stephen Chepkurui is appointed as Territorial Commander, Kenya West Territory, and Colonel Grace Chepkurui as Territorial President of Women’s Ministries. They will take up their new appointment responsibilities with the rank of commissioner, Colonel Grace Chepkurui on 1 January and Colonel Stephen Chepkurui on 2 January.

MAJORS MORRIS AND WANDA VINCENT, officers of the Canada and Bermuda Territory currently serving as divisional leaders in the Ontario Great Lakes Division in that territory, are appointed respectively as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries in the Kenya West Territory. They will take up their new appointment responsibilities with the rank of lieutenant-colonel.

COLONELS MARK AND SHARON TILLSLEY, officers of the Canada and Bermuda Territory currently serving respectively as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries in that territory, are appointed as territorial leaders in the Caribbean Territory. Colonel Mark Tillsley is appointed as Territorial Commander, Caribbean Territory, and Colonel Sharon Tillsley as Territorial President of Women’s Ministries. They will be promoted to the rank of commissioner – Colonel Mark Tillsley on 5 January, Colonel Sharon Tillsley on 6 January. They succeed Commissioners Gerrit and Eva Marseille who will be retiring from active service.

LIEUT-COLONELS LEE AND DEBORAH GRAVES, officers of the Canada and Bermuda Territory currently serving respectively as Secretary for Business Administration and Integrated Missions Secretary in that territory, are appointed respectively as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries in the Canada and Bermuda Territory. They will take up their new appointment responsibilities with the rank of colonel.

LIEUT-COLONELS KELVIN AND CHERALYNNE PETHYBRIDGE, officers of the Australia Eastern Territory currently serving respectively as Secretary for Business Administration and Assistant Secretary for Personnel in that territory, are appointed respectively as Chief Secretary-in-charge and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries, Australia Eastern Territory.

LIEUT-COLONELS HERVE AND DEBORAH CACHELIN, officers of the Switzerland, Austria and Hungary Territory currently serving respectively as Principal of the ICO/CSLD and Secretary for Spiritual Life Development, are appointed respectively as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Adult and Family Ministries, Germany, Lithuania and Poland Territory.  They succeed Lieut-Colonels Marsha-Jean and David Bowles who will be proceeding to appointment responsibilities in their home territory, Canada and Bermuda.

COLONELS NEIL AND CHRISTINE WEBB, officers of the United Kingdom Territory with the Republic of Ireland, currently serving respectively as Under Secretary for Europe and Under Secretary for Administration (International Personnel and Leadership Development) at IHQ, are appointed respectively as Principal of the ICO/CSLD and Secretary for Spiritual Life Development.
